While waiting for the red carpet festivities to start today,
I had the chance to talk to a couple of players from the Washington Capitals
Pee-Wee squad. The 10-11 year olds had the opportunity to have Hall of Famer
Tony Esposito guest coach a game on Friday, and they talked about their experience:
Nathan Marks said that Esposito stressed the importance of
fun for the kids.
“It was a special
experience, and it was really great for everyone on the team,” said Brendan
Soucie.
What kind of advice did he give?
“After you get the first goal, it is always much easier to
score.”
