Blueland Blog
Welcome
Posted by: Ben Wright on February 28, 2007 at 7:14PM EST
Welcome to the new and improved Blueland Blog everyone. We just moved in so go easy on us. We're still getting everything unpacked and tidied up.

You may notice that things are no longer posted by "The Web Guy". While it was never a secret who I was, we're getting rid of the Web Guy persona and going with real names from here on out, so just call me Ben.

Feel free to add comments, and if you're a blogger, feel free to add the new Blueland Blog to your blogroll. If you use an RSS reader, the feeds are to the left, and if you're looking for some great hockey blogs to read, check out the Blueland Links.

Ben-- Noticed you are calling Alex Zhitnik "AZ". Where did that come from? Is it pronounced az as in as or A Z? Just curious. I know the Walt story. But the AZ surprised me. I thought he was called Zee. Thanks Dee

I like the new site, and the ditching of the nom de plume as well. Ben has a nice ring to it.

Am I the only one that Loves the gameday trivia? (Capital "L" is intentional). You may want to consider aggregating some of the content from the other good bloggers, or having a monthly or weekly rotating guest columnist.

Consistantly poor perfomances all the way around. Maybe we need to make some changes both in Coaches and Goalies

Kovalchuk is Awsome! He did a great job against the pain Avery! But if they really wanted to win like Atlanta Knights did in 93-94 season they should have brought John Paris Jr in (head coach of the knights) The way the knights played WOW! He could have done the same for the Thrashers and help out Bob Hartley. I bet if Paris was there for the next season 07-08 we'd see the stanley cup in our lovely city Atlanta.. the team would love him and the fans would love him too... what a great team the knights!!!! let's do it again with Atlanta!!! Paris and Hartley .......go team!

Another 4th liner. That makes 9 guys that qualify as 4th line role pleyers? Is Hosa going to play with himself? Are we saving money to get Fred Magriff at midseason? 9 guys Wadell says "will be good on the penalty kill". Thats because they have no talent to score goals. Maybe will get the trier trophy. You know the trophy you give to that "special" kid who wore a helmet on that little short yellow bus.

I got back into photography to take photos of my son at NARCH last July. I had been out of photography for a long time. My son’s coach liked the photos so much he recommended me to ECHO. I was asked by ECHO to photograph their tournament at the Cooler. I am now the Cooler photographer. I took over 1000 pictures of the games at the Cooler and they will be posted on the web in about 10 days. I am putting up a brand new web site that will give much better viewing of pictures than the old web site. I really had a great time watching the games. My son was not in this tournament, but played Sunday night at the Cooler. I hope to one day be taking hockey photos at Philips Arena. Thanks to the Thrasher Coaches /employees, and all the players and coaches for a very enjoyable time. www.amazing-foto.com check out the photos.

I just trudged back to my hotel from the Bell Center. Almost jumped into traffic after sitting through the third period! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE and totally inexcuseable. I've been a huge hockey fan my entire life and I've never seen a team as incosistent as this one. How do you bitch slap Detroit, in Detroit, beat the Penguins but lose 10-1 to Buffalo and get outshot by 25+ shots in three games???? Someone explain that to me, PLEASE.

As far as the trade, I was at the Marriott before the game and the buzz about the trade was mostly positive.
