That is the most well-informed summary of the state of the Thrashers that I have read. Contrast that with the recent article on ESPN and you'll see why I go to Canadian sports news outlets for my hockey news and analysis.

Every point was dead on. By far the most informed, unbiased, accurate, and detailed assessment of the team I've read in any season. Thanks for dissiminating this, Ben.

Thanks for the link Ben! Great stuff. My 2 cents... keep Moose for his leadership and trade pavelec for a 1st line forward, or top 4 D-man.

Disagreed with replacing Moose with Pavelec, but otherwise a really good analysis and plan.

I think we should follow the Philly plan. Look at Philly last year. They made some trades that made them better (our trades we made should as well). Then they went out and signed a top-tier free agent that was in his prime (Briere). We have to spend the money in order to get good players in their prime.
That is the one year fix. We could rebuild again, but I won't be here 6 years from now to see the benefits.
