Hall Of A Defenseman
Posted by: Ben Wright on January 30, 2008 at 5:18PM EST
Did you know that former Falcon Travis Hall grew up playing hockey? He was a defenseman back in the day in Alaska. He's 6-5 and 295 lbs now. Imagine that on skates. Yikes.

Anyway, he was in Atlanta for the All-Star festivities and wrote about it on NHL Connect.

When I first moved down here in 1997 - 98 I played against him! He played out in Duluth. He was sick good and didn't even try that hard (since he was still on the Falcons)... like if he wasn't a football player he could have played minor league hockey. He's wrist shot was wicked.
Picture this... me a right wing 5 foot 6, 175 lbs... he's the left wing at 6-5 295! Good thing it was a no check league!!!
He was really a cool guy though. Very nice to play against.. especially since he didn't smush me!
