There have been rumblings that the NHL is trying to get back on ESPN and that ESPN is returning the interest. I don't know how much stock to put in those rumors, but I can't see a network that has no interest in a league taking the time to put something like this together every week:
There are three Thrashers plays in there, and two of the three are big plays by our guys. The third is a huge save by Martin Biron. The whole video is well worth watching.

that toews goal is just ridiculous. he completely manhandled four guys to get the puck in the net. just crazy.
let's hope that ESPN gets back in the mix of things when it comes to the NHL! i miss thursday night hockey!

You know, with the NHL Network, Versus, SportsSouth, HDNet and the multiple FSN networks I get on Dish who needs ESPN's coverage?
I found it insulting to hockey fans that ESPN puts more interest in Nascar and Poker than Hockey (a real Athletic competition).
Some interesting plays in that video, but how much effort did they really put into it when they didn't even have someone to do voice over or do the play by play. Nice to see that awesome hit by X, would have been nice if they had credited him for it.
Not a big fan of ESPN here, the boys from Bristol constantly forget that there's more teams than the ones in the north east part of the US

I agree with you both, I wish hockey would return to ESPN as I do not receive Versus. I have the Center Ice package through dish network but the Versus games are not available in the Center Ice package. But I know if it does come back to ESPN all that means are tons of Ranger, Penguin, and Flyer games. ESPN only make an effort to cover things that happen in the northeast and of course enough american football (pro & college) to make you sick.
That Toews goal looked like a video game move, unbelievable.
