Blueland Block Party!

You may have heard the announcements last night for the Blueland Block Party
to be held this Saturday before the Thrashers close out the regular season
against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here are the details.
The festivities kick off at 4:30 in the afternoon on Philips Drive, which
will be closed to traffic. There will be discounted food and beverages available
as well as street hockey, the slap shot machine and the inflatables you've seen
at our local hockey events, plus face painting, a kids table and a live 680 The
Fan show. It should be lots of fun and it's a great way to meet other fans
before we head into the playoffs.
Also, the doors to Philips Arena will open at 5:30 on Saturday and will
continue to open 90 minutes before game time throughout the post-season.
Finally, remember to wear blue every time you visit Blueland. All of the true
blue fans will be doing it, and you don't want to be that lone fan in yellow
amidst a sea of blue, do you?

Yes, the Stanley Cup viewing was less than smooth, but keep in mind everyone will have ample opportunities to see it later this year after the "Boys in Blue" win that big shiny piece of metal. Keep hope alive!

Love the Thrashers! Great job getting that first banner up in Blueland!! Our history has officially just begun. Let's have a great playoff!
Also, love our TV coverage on SportSouth. J.P. and Darin are the greatest hockey announcers in the league!! Great job guys! You both are the next Skip Carey and Don Sutton of Atlanta!!

Congrats Thrashers on making the playoffs and Div Champs...WOW..I cannot believe it!! Can't wait to see the last game tonight in persont. Don't let them Tampa boys walkout winners tonight, they would just love that..but they won't!

Winning a division title in Atlanta doesnt mean much unless you win in the playoffs as the braves have showed us year in and year out... Lets hope the Thrash can get the job done

Congratulations Atlanta Thrashers! You guys deserve the South-east division banner more than any other team. I've watched you guys since season 1 game 1, and it all comes down to this glorious day. Again Congratulations! I'll be there for the rest of this run, every home game, cheering you guys on! Bring home the Stanley Cup!

I've watched a lot of painful hockey over the years, and I have to say I've never been so excited for you guys. No matter what happens I'm so PROUD to be a thrashers fan in the entire career of the franchise. Keep up the drive and everything will fall into place. Again thanks to ALL of you from Veterans to recently aquired players, the chemistry is perfect, make it happen, and thanks again.
